Assistant Brandy Mattix called Socrates Gomezn about his recent experience with Sherman & Associates. Below is a transcript of the call.
Brandy: When did you & Jay do business together?
Socrates: First business was in San Diego. We met at the Real Estate Club and he offered the possibility of going in with him on his property in February 2012.
Brandy: Can you tell me a little about what aspects of the job Jay was responsible for?
Socrates: He was responsible for keeping me in the loop and up to date on all the repairs and progress that was happening on the property that I loaned my funds to.
Brandy: What would you consider to be Jay's strengths, assets, or things you like about him?
Socrates: Transparency, constant communication and willingness to sit down and explain every detail of what he is doing.
Brandy: On a scale of excellent, good, fair, or poor, how would you rate Jay's overall performance?
Socrates: Excellent.
Brandy: a) Tell me a little bit about Jay’s communication skills. Did he answer your voicemails on time?
Socrates: Yes, although we mostly communicated via email because I was out of the country most of the time.
Brandy: You said you were out of the country, however you still felt comfortable with the progress of the project?
Socrates: I wasn’t sure of the process but he updated me weekly with videos so I was very comfortable with the weekly updates – I wasn’t concerned with the end date because he had a date in mind but was happy with the progress reports.
Brandy: b) Do you feel like he listened to you?
Socrates: Yes, although I didn’t have much input as far as what walls came down or picking out paint colors – mostly I was a passive investor and my money was helping him and he was able to return it so, my concerns were fully addressed.
Brandy: Did any obstacles get in the way during your business dealings with Jay? If so, how did Jay handle that?
Socrates: Just the time zone.
Brandy: Would you do business with jay in the future?
Socrates: I met with him yesterday about another property I can invest with him. So yes.
Brandy: Thank you. Do you have any final comments or suggestions about Jay?
Socrates: Keep up the good work and I look forward to doing more business with him.
