Steve Dexter Reference Call

Assistant Brandy Mattix called Steve Dexter about his recent investment with Sherman & Associates. Below is a transcript of the call.

Brandy: When and Where did you & Jay do business together?

Steve: We’ve done business together for about 1 year or so. He called me and wanted to know about private money opportunities. He had heard me speak at several meetings about real estate, the economy and the future of the economy. He knew I was interested in lending money out, he called me, we went to lunch, and a month later we were doing business together.

Brandy: What would you consider to be Jay's strengths, assets, or things you like about him?

Steve: #1) Jay has a gift for locating property has profit potential
#2) He is able to bring in expert contractors to work for part of the deal . His ability to partner with people is exceptional and he is able to bring the deal in under budget with a high profit.

Brandy: Would you please explain what Jay was responsible for and what he did with you on the project?

Steve: Jay was responsible for sourcing houses priced below market. He would locate them, put under contract, tell me about deal, and I would lend money or not depending on viability of project.

Brandy: On a scale of excellent, good, fair, or poor, how would you rate Jay's overall performance?

Steve: Excellent.

Brandy: a) Tell me a little bit about Jay's communication skills. Did he answer your voicemails on time? b) do you feel like he listened to you?

Steve: a) He is very responsive, always there to pick up phone and sends videos to document project. His videos are timely and very well done.
b) Yes, he is a good problem solver.

Brandy: Do you feel the videos accurately represent the work that is taking place?

Steve: Oh, yes.

Brandy: Did any obstacles get in the way during your transaction? How did Jay handle that?

Steve: Yes, I had some concerns about having trustees recorded in timely fashion. He made sure promissory notes were recorded to the trustees so my interest was protected.

Brandy: Would you do business with Jay in the future?

Steve: Sure

Brandy: Thank you. Do you have any final comments or suggestions about Jay?

Steve: No.

Brandy: Thank you so much for your insights, Steve, I appreciate your time
